Wonders of a Nice Car Ride

I love driving. In the car is probably where I get the most ideas and I can think them through without many distractions. Well, yesterday I spent all day in the car. I drove for 13 hours to get home and help my sister prepare for her exams... big exams.

On the trip I was able to plot out an entire story, and this was an idea I didn't have beforehand. The only problem is, I really couldn't make the necessary notes (or I would be stopping every five minutes) so I'm hoping I can remember everything I had planned.

So, when do you find ideas come to you the most?

  1. Many of my ideas come in the shower (I think it's the white noise :)) or in bed, just before I fall asleep.

  2. I get most of my ideas when I'm exercising - or pretending to exercise, since I stop every few minutes to write things down. :)

  4. Most of mine come in the shower. I've heard this a lot. I've also heard while doing the dishes (I don't do dishes, so I wouldn't know LOL). It must be something with the flowing water.

Does your phone have a recording device? I do sometimes get mine while driving and I finally had the bright idea to use my phone's recorder. Worst comes to worst, you could leave yourself a voicemail. :)

  5. Hi Cheree, I too get my ideas while driving. I bought an audio recorder just for the occasion. My voice sounds weird, but I don't miss a thing.
