Wish me luck

Today I start my third and final teaching prac, the one prac that is more important than the other two. If I can prove myself competent after one week, I'll be in the classroom by myself - without the supervision of my mentor teacher. YIKES!

If that's not scary enough, in just 4 weeks I'll be sitting for my teaching interview, which I need to pass. Ooh, I see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it's a scary kind of light that reminds me that next year I have no idea where I'll be, but I'll be a new teacher in a classroom full of teenagers...

Life just keeps moving forward.

Good luck. I admire anyone who is striving towards or currently working in the teaching profession. While I think I am competent enough to do it, I don't think I have what it takes to be a truly effective teacher. I'm sure you do however, and I wish you all the luck in the world. Knock their socks off.

I'm sure you'll do great but good luck! It's always scary when change is coming, even if it's something you've wanted your whole life. Do your best, be yourself, and you'll be fine. :)

You've made it this far; believe in yourself. It seems like only yesterday I was in your proverbial shoes, and yeah it was stressful, but I made it through and ended up doing better than I thought I would. Now I get the summers off between months of wrangling jr. high students, and I wouldn't trade it for anything -- except maybe a book deal...
